  • Warehouse Manager

    You will play an essential role within the branch support function helping us to be the largest distributor of pharmaceutical and healthcare products to our customers.     Accountabilities:

    • Ensure the safe operation and upkeep of all warehouse equipment and maintain high standards of health and safety, cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the branch
    • Ensure the operation adheres to Standard Operating Procedures within the branch to ensure compliance with statutory requirements of all regulatory bodies, GDP, MHRA and to retain the branch ISO quality accreditation
    • Make decisions which positively affect all aspects of branch performance that are aligned with our ICARE values
    • Operate in a professional and friendly manner at all times with both internal and external customers
    •  Monitor and manage budget/costs within area of responsibility to agreed budget/expenditure objectives

    Permanent Contract – immediate start available.

    Full and time role, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week. Shift 22:00 to 06:00 (shift start and finish times may vary)

    Basic qualifications & Skills required:

    • Knowledge of WMS systems and Microsoft office
    • Be a good communicator, both written and verbal, with strong and decisive decision making, problem solving and time management skills.
    • Have the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise and use initiative.
    • Ability to analyse data and make recommendations / improvements
    • Strong people management skills
    • Previous experience in a warehouse environment and the understanding of Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
    • Experience of managing a team at least at a supervisor level
    • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
