  • About The Role

  • Reporting to the Group Engineering Projects Manager, the role of the Project Manager shall include the responsibility of allocated projects in their management, governance, and delivery in compliance with Health & Safety, Programme, Cost and Quality. These projects are typically capital projects that are to be investigated, scoped, tendered and submitted for approval and successfully implemented across the AAH sites. This role shall include Project Management of individual projects and also Project Management Support as required in support of AAH sites, Site Engineering Managers and Group Engineering Team Members.

    The role will see the Project Manager effectively, efficiently and economically deliver projects, these are to be completed and documented following the AAH Project Process.  Project Management of the projects will see that due diligence and systematic reporting is maintained to provide live projects with a periodic ‘Health Check’ in the ‘No Surprises’ route to completion, final accounts and the closure of the project and capex number

     

    Accountabilities

    • Support day to day activities for all projects
    • Work with peers to define standards for programme and project management, covering people, processes and tools
    • Manage capacity allocation of resources based on demand
    • Work closely with the Finance PMO to align all IT projects under a single PMO metholdoogy, linking financial benefits to IT delivery through agreed and defined stage gates
    • Develop a Project tracking methodology with PMO best practices and ensure that this single methodology is applied across all IT functions
    • Assess and drive team competencies against the agreed framework and put in place strategies to improve or project delivery through robust performance management of third party suppliers 
    • Quality Assurance for PM Deliverables, especially the early identification and management of risks, issues and dependencies
    • Work with IT SLT to develop Supply Chain and Logistics project portfolio roadmap with clear benefit and delivery milestones and cross team/functional dependencies

  • About You

    • Engineering Project Management and governance, compliance with legislation and applicable standards.
    • To ensure all engineering Projects carried out in AAH Branches follow the Group Engineering Project Management Process.
    • Undertake the Project Management role, ensuring that all CAPEX projects are delivered to scope, on time and in budget.
    • Completion of a project shall include settlement of final accounts, project documentation, closure of the capex number.
    • To assist the Automation Development Team in detail and design of projects to ensure that all elements of a project are identified.
    • To work to, maintain and where applicable improve the Group Engineering CAPEX process and ensure all documentation is completed and manage through the submission process.
    • Manage synergies with other projects including interdepartmental communication
