  • About The Role

  • The Senior Accountant to provide high-quality monthly financial analysis, planning, and strategic insight for the Head Office cost base. They will support decision-making through robust monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual budget control, ensuring value for money and alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals. Acting as a trusted advisor to non-financial stakeholders, the Senior Accountant will ensure budget holders understand and effectively manage their financial responsibilities

    This is a 9-12 month Maternity Cover role!

     

    Accountabilities

     
    • Monthly Financial Management: Review and ensure the accuracy of monthly financials including head office payroll and overhead cost, highlighting key variances and presenting findings to Senior management.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary finance contact for the Senior Leadership Team and Executive Leadership Team. Lead cross-functional collaboration and hold regular financial review meetings with departments to support effective cost control.
    • Consolidate Head Office costs during month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, Monitor Key Value Drivers under time-sensitive conditions and contribute to ELT and Board reporting by delivering meaningful financial insights. This responsibility requires close collaboration with the offshore finance team to ensure timely and accurate delivery within strict deadlines.
    • Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead the preparation and delivery of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Audit & Compliance: Manage responses to internal and external audit queries related to payroll and overheads. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

  • About You

    • Experience of working in a financial control environment
    • Qualified/newly qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
    • Advanced Excel level (pivots, advanced calculations and modelling skills)
    • Intermediate knowledge of other Office products such as Powerpoint and Word
    • Adaptable and pro-active with strong problem-solving skills
    • Proven stakeholder management and challenge skill set
    • Ability to drive decision making through analytical methods
    • Present information in a clear & concise manner
    • A fast learner who can quickly assimilate the complexities
    • Personal organisation and planning skills
    • Be self-accountable
    • Being proactive always is necessary
