  • About The Role

  • Deliver the OTC (over the counter products) category strategy by developing and executing the commercial category plans for a defined list of suppliers and products that we sell through our wholesale businesses AAH & Enterprise. Continuously improve KPI’s of sales margin, volume, supplier income and working capital for our wholesale businesses using Category Management principles.

    Accountabilities

    • Develop and deliver the category plan for your suppliers and products which will consist of over-the-counter products including pharmacy only/general sale medicines, wellbeing, and health & beauty products
    • Successful delivery of the key financial KPIs of sales margin, volume, supplier income and working capital
    • Manage key supplier relationships and maintain a detailed knowledge of supplier and competitor activities
    • Develop a JBP (Joint Business Plan) with your suppliers that maximises supplier investment into marketing, digital propositions, and sales promotion activities
    • Regularly review the performance of supplier’s vs JBP and budget and negotiate improved commercial terms where required such as cost of goods, payment terms, and supplier investment
    • Decide & maintain which products to range in the category to maximises sales and meet the needs of our wholesale customers according to trading data, market trends, and product innovation

  • About You

    • Previous Category Management and Buying experience within the multiple retail sector and/or OTC Wholesale, both for in-store and online channels
    • Experience ideally within Wellbeing / Healthcare categories
    • History of working to a budget, meeting sales, profitability, and category targets
    • Experienced in utilizing market data to drive decision making for product development, ranging, and pricing decisions.
    • Strategic thinking and planning capabilities
    • Ability to work cross functionally
