  • About The Role

  • Reporting to the Head of IT – Supply Chain & Logistics, the Application Project Manager is responsible for delivery of IT projects in the Supply Chain area, maintaining and supporting daily activities that ensure projects are initiated, delivered and landed successfully into the Supply Chain Operations.

     

    Accountabilities

    • Support day to day activities for all projects
    • Work with peers to define standards for programme and project management, covering people, processes and tools
    • Manage capacity allocation of resources based on demand
    • Work closely with the Finance PMO to align all IT projects under a single PMO metholdoogy, linking financial benefits to IT delivery through agreed and defined stage gates
    • Develop a Project tracking methodology with PMO best practices and ensure that this single methodology is applied across all IT functions
    • Assess and drive team competencies against the agreed framework and put in place strategies to improve or project delivery through robust performance management of third party suppliers 
    • Quality Assurance for PM Deliverables, especially the early identification and management of risks, issues and dependencies
    • Work with IT SLT to develop Supply Chain and Logistics project portfolio roadmap with clear benefit and delivery milestones and cross team/functional dependencies

  • About You

    • Experienced Project Management professional with Strong knowledge, understanding and experience of Project Management principles and methodology
    • Solid operational understanding and technical knowledge of multiple standards and tools; ITIL
    • Solid experience of managing and developing PMO processes and standards, to apply these to the Supply Chain Area and support the other functions with PMO best practice
    • Experience in the full lifecycle of the project and continual service improvement (CSI)
    • Proven and demonstrable project management skills using different methodologies, Prince2, Waterfall and Agile
    • Demonstrates a high level of Stakeholder management and communication skills, with an aptitude for dealing with IT and business colleagues and suppliers at all levels
    • Knowledge of supply chain, warehouse and logistics operations
    • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Agile Methodology
    • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects
    • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
