  • About The Role

  • Reporting to the Head of Engineering, Projects & Facilities this role will ensure efficient & effective automation systems management leading to reliability and national improvements in AAH sites automated systems & equipment. As a member of the Group Engineering team the Automation Developer will contribute to and lead national maintenance and improvement initiatives across the AAH branch network, to support the Business Engineering Strategy.  

     

    Accountabilities

    • Maintenance of Automated systems
    • Facilitate with the design of an effective planned preventative maintenance (ppm)schedule for Automated systems and equipment
    • Facilitate regular reviews of the ppm schedules with each site teams
    • Assist with proposals to design and adopt fit for purpose maintenance schedules and resource plans
    • Ensure compliance with the Schedule via regular audits of the sites
    • Escalate non compliances to the Head of Engineering Projects & Facilities
    • Ensure Automation is running in conformance to best practice guidelines
    • Collate and manage a Central Engineering spares store for critical spares acquired through automation upgrades
    • Advise on the site engineering stores stock to ensure all critical spares are available to all sites
    • Manage priorities with a proactive approach

  • About You

    • Time served Engineering apprenticeship
    • HND qualification in an engineering discipline
    • Experience of implementation of modern maintenance techniques (e.g. TPM, RCM, etc.)
    • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer and a lead/supervisory role in Warehousing or FMCG
    • Automated systems maintenance and repair experience
    • IOSH certification
    • Experience of managing large and small scale CAPEX projects in operational environments
    • Proven experience working in a dynamic, regulated, multi-site engineering environment such as distribution/manufacturing
